The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Friday, August 22, unveiled a revised schedule for the 2025 Women’s World Cup. The tournament will still run from September 30 to November 2, but a major change has been introduced with an important venue replacement.

The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai has been confirmed as one of the eight venues, replacing Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which was declared unavailable. The stadium will play a crucial role in the 13th edition of the marquee event, with at least five fixtures scheduled—three league matches, one semi-final, and the possibility of hosting the final.

The other designated venues for the eight-team global tournament are:

  • ACA Stadium, Guwahati
  • Holkar Stadium, Indore
  • ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam
  • R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo (Sri Lanka)

As of now, only India and England have announced their squads for the competition. Australia, the reigning champions, will be looking to defend their crown after beating England in the 2022 final at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

With the stage set across India and Sri Lanka, the Women’s World Cup promises to deliver another chapter of high-octane cricket, inspiring performances, and historic milestones.
