While most know Shreyas Iyer for his cricketing prowess, few were aware of his knack for magic. That changed recently when the stylish Indian batter surprised spectators during the B7 Magic Bar Tour at Bombay Cartel in Juhu, Maharashtra.
The evening began when professional magician Chirag approached Iyer to show him a few tricks. To everyone’s surprise, Iyer revealed that he too could perform magic. In a delightful turn of events, the cricketer took on the role of a magician and showcased his skills before a live audience.
In a video posted on his official Instagram, Iyer approaches a group of people and introduces himself with a smile: “Hello everyone! Yes, I’m Shreyas Iyer, but today I’m the magician of the B7 Magic Bar Tour. May I show you a trick?” The crowd eagerly agreed, setting the stage for his performance.
Using a deck of cards, Iyer first asked a woman to pick a card that had “B7” written on it. After shuffling the deck and returning the card, he invited another participant—a man—to select a different card, which he called the “bullet.” Holding the deck like a gun, Iyer theatrically flicked the man’s card as if firing it. To the audience’s amazement, the “bullet” card matched the one initially picked by the woman. The stunned man exclaimed, “How did you do this?”
The trick left the audience amazed, after which Iyer introduced magician Chirag, who inspired the act. The moment showcased Iyer’s fun-loving side and his flair for entertaining beyond the cricket field, winning over fans with his surprising hidden talent.
