Mixed martial arts fighter Chungreng Koren, hailing from Manipur, has garnered widespread attention after making a heartfelt plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi amidst the ongoing violence and unrest in the state. Koren’s impassioned speech, delivered after a match at the Matrix Fight Night 14, has gone viral across various social media platforms.
In the video circulating on social media, Koren highlighted the dire situation in Manipur, emphasizing the critical shortage of essential supplies such as food and water in relief camps. With the region plagued by violence for nearly a year, Koren expressed grave concerns about the well-being of the people, particularly children who are unable to pursue their education effectively amidst the turmoil.
Addressing Prime Minister Modi directly, Koren humbly appealed for his intervention, urging him to visit Manipur and take decisive steps to restore peace and stability in the state. “This is my humble request,” Koren stated solemnly. “Violence is ravaging Manipur, and the consequences are dire. People are suffering, lives are being lost, and the future appears bleak. Modi ji, please grace Manipur with your presence and help us usher in an era of peace and prosperity.”
Koren’s heartfelt plea has resonated deeply with netizens, sparking conversations about the urgent need for government action to alleviate the plight of Manipur’s residents. As the video continues to circulate online, many are hopeful that Koren’s appeal will not go unheard and that Prime Minister Modi will heed the call for assistance in addressing the pressing issues facing the state.
