Virat Kohli Returns to Cricketing Duties After Paternity Leave

Indian cricket stalwart Virat Kohli, who took a prolonged hiatus from the game during the national team’s 5-match Test series against England, has made his comeback to cricketing duties. Kohli, who remained absent from cricket to be by his wife Anushka Sharma’s side during the final stages of her pregnancy, joyfully announced the birth of their baby boy, Akaay.

Following the arrival of Akaay, Kohli continued to prioritize his family responsibilities but is now back in action ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. The cricketing icon was recently spotted at the airport as he returned to India to rejoin his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The prolific top-order batsman is set to reunite with his teammates in Bengaluru ahead of the RCB ‘Unbox’ event. Scheduled to take place on March 19 in Bengaluru, this event marks an exciting beginning for Kohli as he gears up to lead his team in the IPL campaign.
