An official IPL media release confirmed the news, stating, “Mumbai Indians announce that Harvik Desai will join the squad as a replacement for Vishnu Vinod.” Vinod, aged 30 and representing Kerala in domestic cricket, sustained a left forearm injury, paving the way for Desai’s opportunity on the big stage.
